NATO has agreed to hold emergency meeting

NATO commended at the request of Russia on Tuesday to hold urgent meeting of the NATO-Russia Council on the situation in South Ossetia.

This officer told the Russian permanent mission at the North Atlantic alliance.

"NATO has agreed to our request to hold emergency meeting of the NATO-Russia Council in Brussels", - told RIA "Novosti" interlocutor.

As it became known meeting will be held following the NATO-Russia Council at the ambassadorial level with the Foreign Minister of Georgia.
